The Sibley County Attorney's Office is a "part-time" county attorney's office.  David E. Schauer is the duly elected Sibley County Attorney and has served in that capacity since February 1988 when he was appointed.  As a part-time county attorney, the county attorney can maintain a private law practice.  The office is filled by election, unless it is vacated in mid-term when a replacement is appointed by the County Board.
