PART TIME BREAKDOWN

Part Time Breakdown

Sibley County has a “part-time” County Attorney's Office.  What this means is that myself and my staff are part-time employees of the County.  As a part-time county attorney office, I and my associates are free to engage in the private practice of law, as long as it does not conflict with my statutory county attorney duties.  In calendar year 2015, the caseload increased by 23% based on number of county attorney files opened as compared to the previous year.  Due to the increased caseload, no calculation was completed on 2015 statistics.

Percentage Breakdowns

In 2003, the Sibley County Attorneys Office was increased to an 80 percent office.

For comparison purposes, I provide the percentages as to county share versus private share of time for the years 2009 through 2014.

Adjusted Private Share

.

As you can see, the utilizing the adjusted times clearly show that while this office is treated as an 80 percent county attorneys office, the county is getting more than that in service time.
