Best Management Practices
The ultimate goal of Best Management Practices (BMPs) is the reduction of excessive bacterial, sediment and nutrient levels in the Rush River. Along with improving water quality, applying a significant amount of conservation practices has the potential to increase and improve wildlife and aquatic habitats, as well as recreational opportunities in the watershed. The Rush River watershed offers cost-share and incentive opportunities for the implementation of a variety of BMPs.
