Sibley County Human Services works as an agent of the Minnesota Department of Human Services Licensing Division. Sibley County Human Services works with family day care providers to establish standards of care throughout the county while adhering to State licensing laws. Family Child Care Licensing staff is responsible for licensing and monitoring providers; once licensed, Child Care staff will provide support, resources and monitor compliance with licensing rules.

Foster Care Licensing
 
Sibley County provides licensing for both Child Foster Care and Adult Foster Care.
 
Child Foster Care is a safe place to be if a child cannot live with their own family or on their own. Adult Foster Care assists men and women, 18 years of age and older, who are unable to live alone but want to live in a family setting.
