Sibley County will be reconstructing 6 bridges during the fall of 2011.  The location of the bridge projects are listed below and can be viewed on the Sibley County 2011 Highway Construction Plan Map.

 CP 1032, Br. No. 72J55 is located on CR 53 in Cornish Township
 CP 1034, Br. No. 72J54 is located on CR 53 in Cornish Township
 CP 1072, Br. No. 72J59 is located on CSAH 6 in Jessenland Township
 CP 1080, Br. No. 72J57 is located on CR 56 in Severance Township
 CP 1083, Br. No. 72J56 is located on CSAH 8 in Severance Township
 CP 1086, Br. No. 72J58 is located on CR 67 along the Sibley/Dryden Township line

The existing bridge structures will be replaced with a single or double line box culvert.  The replacement of each bridge is anticipated to take about 2 weeks and will require the roadways to be closed during construction. The projects will be advertised during the months of May and June and the bid opening will be during the middle of June.  The projects are scheduled to begin in August 2011 and should be completed by the middle of November 2011.  Funding for the bridge replacements consists of State Bridge Bonding, County State Aid, and Local Sources.  Further information regarding the specifics of each bridge replacement can be obtained from the Sibley County Egram Web Site https://egram.co.sibley.mn.us or by contacting the public works department.
