A. The Sibley County E911 Ordinance found here describes which properties are required to have an address and sign.
In general, if your property has structures and there is access to those structures, you will need an address and sign. Even if there is no access to the structures, an address may still be required. Contact GIS for more information.

Your property will then be assigned an address, and Public Works will make a sign for you. If you have a damaged sign or need to replace your existing one, contact us at (507) 237-4092. We will contact you when the sign is ready to be picked up. The cost of a new sign is $25.00 each and a sign post is $15.00 (tax not included).
My blue E911 house number sign is missing or has been damaged, where can I get a new one?
Please call the Public Works office at (507) 237-4092 or bring in your damaged sign and we will make a new one for you. The cost of a new sign is $25.00 each and a sign post is $15.00 (tax not included).
